Tripoli: The President of the Presidential Council and Supreme Commander of the Libyan Army, Mohamed Al-Menfi, underscored the imperative that the army’s doctrine should prioritize the defense of the land and the people, while ensuring national sovereignty. He asserted that the army must stand as the state’s impregnable fortress, executing missions aligned with a military doctrine centered on these key principles.
According to Libyan News Agency, this statement was made during an extensive meeting held in Tripoli, attended by several army officers, including the Chief of General Staff and his assistant. The meeting’s objective was to strengthen the state’s foundations and develop a competent military institution, as reported by the media office of the President of the Council.
During the discussions, the focus was on reviewing methods to restructure the military institution in line with military regulations and discipline. This includes establishing a clear command hierarchy and reinforcing the principle of discipline and unwavering loyalty to the homeland.
