Tripoli: The Head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Al-Menfi, met today in Tripoli with the French Ambassador to Libya, Thierry Vallat, to discuss the latest political and economic developments in Libya.
According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting centered around various issues of mutual interest, primarily focusing on the evolving political and economic landscape in Libya. The Ambassador reviewed significant developments related to these issues and highlighted international efforts supporting stability in the region.
The Presidential Council's media office reported that the discussions also covered efforts led by Al-Menfi and relevant committees to monitor and improve the economic situation. There was an emphasis on the importance of implementing a unified budget to contribute to strengthening financial stability and enhancing the efficiency of resource management.
Al-Menfi underscored the necessity for political processes, including the initiative of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), to be built on clear legal and constitutional foundations to facilitate electoral processes.
Additionally, the meeting addressed the issue of unifying the military institution, with a focus on the importance of continuing ongoing steps to enhance security and stability in Libya.
