The President of the Presidential Council, “Mohammed Al-Manfi”, met today, Tuesday, in Tripoli, the Minister of State for Communication and Political Affairs, of the Government of National Unity, Walid Al-Lafi, and discussed the necessary preparations for the national referendum and poll operations..
During the meeting, Al-Lafi provided a comprehensive briefing on the necessary preparations to ensure the effective participation of the Libyan people in the national referendum and poll operations, according to the media office of the President of the Council.
The two sides reviewed the efforts made to enhance communication and provide the necessary mechanisms for the success of these operations, in a way that ensures achieving the highest levels of transparency and integrity.
During the meeting, the independent monitoring mechanisms that will be undertaken by specialized local and international civil society organizations and expertise houses were discussed, to ensure the integrity and transparency of electr
onic polls, allowing the Libyan people to participate effectively and confidently in expressing their opinions and contributing to national decision-making and choosing the necessary political solutions to reach the elections, according to the media office.
