Al-Manfi and Norland discuss the support of the UN envoy (Batelli) and the completion of the constitutional process between the House of Representatives and the state

Tripoli- The President of the Presidential Council, “Mohamed Al-Manfi,” discussed with the US ambassador and special envoy for Libya, Richard Norland, local and international efforts to resolve the political crisis in the country, and to provide full support to the new UN envoy to Libya, “Abdullah Batelli” and ways to complete the Constitutional process between the House of Representatives and the state.

In a telephone call today, Tuesday, with Ambassador Norland, “Al-Manfi” stressed the importance of consensus among all parties to the political process on a constitutional basis that establishes the electoral merit.

In turn – according to the Presidential Media Office – Norland praised the efforts of the Presidential Council in bringing together the political parties, the success of the national reconciliation project, and its continuous cooperation with the international efforts and countries supporting the stability of Libya, in order to find a solution to the political crisis that the country is going through.
