Tripoli: Member of the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, strongly condemned the attack by the Zionist entity on the “Sumood Flotilla” ships, labeling it a terrorist crime and a violation of international law and human rights.

According to Libyan News Agency, Al-Lafi expressed his condemnation through a tweet on his official “X” platform account, emphasizing that the attack not only targets the flotilla but also jeopardizes civilian lives and their rights to freedom and security. He described the attack as part of the ongoing siege on the Gaza Strip, which he claims has led to the starvation of its population and amounts to genocide, overlooked by the international community with some parties complicit in their silence.

Al-Lafi held the Zionist entity accountable for these acts, asserting that the lack of international response facilitates injustice and exacerbates the suffering of innocent civilians. He urged the international community and its institutions to take a decisive stand against these acts, advocate for the lifting of the Gaza siege, ensure civilian protection, and uphold international law to safeguard human rights.
