Al-Lafi and Iraqi Embassy Discuss Bilateral Relations and Political Developments

Tripoli: Deputy of the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, engaged in discussions with Ahmed Nema Al-Sahaf, the Charg© d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq to Libya, focusing on the bilateral relations between Libya and Iraq and the ongoing political developments in Libya.

According to Libyan News Agency, the Presidential Council announced that Al-Lafi warmly welcomed the Charg© d’Affaires, emphasizing the deep historical ties between the two nations. He commended the reopening of the Iraqi embassy, which has resumed its diplomatic and consular functions from Tripoli.

In response, Ahmed Nema Al-Sahaf acknowledged the Presidential Council’s efforts in fostering political stability in Libya. He reiterated Iraq’s commitment to supporting Libya’s journey towards stability, prosperity, and development.
