Tripoli: Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, engaged in discussions with Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, focusing on the recent security and military developments in Tripoli.

According to Libyan News Agency, the media office of the Presidential Council reported that the meeting involved a comprehensive assessment of the current situation in the capital. The discussions aimed at exploring de-escalation mechanisms and developing an effective approach to address security and military tensions, with a focus on ensuring stability and maintaining civil peace.

Both parties stressed the need to establish sustainable frameworks that strengthen security within a national framework. The emphasis was on enhancing the role of state institutions and restoring balance to the security landscape, steering clear of polarization and tensions.
