Tripoli, Member of Presidency Council Musa Al Koni has stressed that one and foremost priority of the Presidency Council, in its short tenure, was to build the bridge on which Libya will cross to the historic date Dec. 24 elections.
This came in a tweet Musa made, following a visit he and the other member Abdullah Al Lafi made to the High National Elections Commission.
The tenure of the Presidency Council is short, and we have made it clear that we are only building the bridge for the next elections on Dec. 24, Al Koni tweeted.
As for role of the judiciary, Al Koni praised the Libyan judiciary which he described as the best example of unity of Libyan institutions.
They have shown a great an extraordinary ability to keep the judiciary outside the circle of conflicts, Al Koni said adding ‘we have expressed to the Counsel Mohamed Al Hafi our appreciation of their attitude and the importance that the Judiciary remains supportive of the electoral process.
