Baghdad: Head of the National State Forces Alliance, Ammar al-Hakim, met on Saturday evening with head of the State of Law Coalition, Nouri al-Maliki. According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Hakim expressed that during the meeting, the discussion revolved around the latest developments in the political situation in Iraq and the broader region. He also extended congratulations for the victories achieved in southern Lebanon. Al-Hakim underscored the importance of implementing necessary measures along the Syrian-Iraqi borders to prevent any infiltration into Iraqi territory. He highlighted that Iraq has become more resilient to enemy schemes, attributing this strength to the country's societal cohesion and its firm stance against all forms of extremism and aggression. Furthermore, al-Hakim emphasized the importance of maintaining the stability achieved in political, social, and security domains. He attributed these accomplishments to divine support and the sacrifices made by the Iraqi people.
