Al-Dabaiba to Women Conference: By embracing regional and international events, Tripoli has begun to regain its role in its Arab and regional environment

Tripoli, February 27, 2023 (LANA) – Head of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid al-Dabaiba, has stressed that Tripoli’s hosting of the 9th conference of Arab Women’s Organization, preceded by celebration of its selection as the capital of Arab media for “2022,” and hosting meeting of Arab information ministers and many Arab and international conferences and exhibitions show that Libya began to regain its role at Arab and regional level.

Al-Dabaiba stated in his speech to Conference, “Libya’s presidency of the conference and hosting of its work confirms the continuity of Arab solidarity at the level of Arab organizations and government institutions, and that the topics and issues to be discuss and recommendations to be made are pivotal for Arab women at a time many countries suffer from exceptional circumstances that require joint cooperation.

“Women in Libya proved their competences in the ministries to which they have been assigned, and we witness their tireless work in all ministries and their continuous giving, accompanied by their female colleagues in government institutions.” He added.

Al-Dabaiba expressed to the participants his best wishes for success of the conference and hoped that constructive and practical recommendations be produced that would contribute to supporting Arab women.

He suggested that the conference issue the Tripoli Declaration, which advocates the role of women in government leaderships in all Arab countries.
