Tripoli: Al-Baour, the official managing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Libya’s Government of National Unity, engaged in discussions with Ain Allah Souri, the Iranian Ambassador to Libya, focusing on enhancing bilateral relations between the two nations.
According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting, held at the Ministry’s headquarters in Tripoli, explored opportunities for joint cooperation across several fields, with an emphasis on supporting and developing these initiatives to serve shared interests. The Iranian ambassador expressed his country’s interest in further developing relations with Libya and conveyed a desire for a visit from Iran’s Foreign Minister to Libya.
During the discussions, both parties underscored the importance of political consultation and mutual efforts to arrange visits by high-ranking officials from both countries in the near future. They also agreed to activate joint committees and coordinate efforts to organize an exhibition showcasing Iranian industries in Libya, signaling
a commitment to expanding economic and cultural ties.
