Al-Abed Participates in International Labor Market Conference in Riyadh

Riyadh: Minister of Labor and Rehabilitation, Ali Al-Abed Al-Ridha, participated today in the second edition of the International Labor Market Conference (GLMC 2025), which is taking place under the theme “The Future of Work.” The conference is held on January 29 and 30 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with labor ministers from 45 countries in attendance.

According to Libyan News Agency, the conference addresses several key topics, including enhancing decent job opportunities and sustainable work environments, developing skills and competencies to meet the demands of evolving labor markets, economically empowering women, and facilitating digital transformation across various work sectors.

In his speech during the opening session, Al-Abed highlighted the significance of these topics in promoting sustainable development and ensuring decent work for everyone. He also commended the Ministry of Labor’s efforts in regulating the labor market through initiatives like the “Al-Wafeed Platform” and “Workers’ Housing.”
