Tripoli: Ali Al-Abed, Minister of Labor and Rehabilitation in the Government of National Unity, emphasized the necessity of ongoing collaboration between the ministry and security agencies, particularly the Anti-Illegal Migration Agency, to ensure the enforcement of labor market regulations and to curb the issue of irregular labor that impacts the security and social stability of the nation.

According to Libyan News Agency, the statement was made during a field visit to the Anti-Illegal Migration Agency’s headquarters in Tripoli. The visit was aimed at reviewing deportation procedures for several illegal workers who were apprehended during an inspection tour led by the Minister last week, focusing on residential areas inhabited by migrant workers.

The Minister noted that the deportation operations are a segment of a comprehensive set of legal measures designed to regulate the labor environment, limit the presence of expatriate workers, and ensure their adherence to existing regulations. He confirmed that the inspection campaign will continue in partnership with various relevant agencies.
