Tripoli: Ali Al-Abed, Minister of Labor and Rehabilitation in the Government of National Unity, signed a memorandum of understanding with Turkish Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Isikhan in Ankara. The memorandum aims to enhance cooperation between the two countries in labor mobility and vocational training.
According to Libyan News Agency, the memorandum establishes a framework for cooperation in regulating labor mobility and the exchange of expertise and knowledge. This initiative is expected to contribute to achieving common interests and opening new cooperation horizons between Libya and Turkey.
Al-Abed emphasized that the memorandum represents a significant step toward strengthening cooperation in the labor sector. He highlighted the benefits of Turkish expertise in developing Libya's vocational training system and enhancing the qualifications of Libyan personnel to meet labor market needs.
For his part, the Turkish Minister of Labor and Social Security affirmed the importance of the agreement in strengthening cooperation between Libya and Turkey in labor, training, and skills development. He stressed the significance of exchanging expertise and developing competencies to support labor market needs in both countries.
The Ministry of Labor and Rehabilitation stated that the agreement is a vital addition to its efforts to build effective international partnerships. It aims to benefit from global experiences in developing the training and rehabilitation system, preparing qualified national cadres capable of competing in the labor market.
