AIM Deports 130 Illegal Egyptian Immigrants

Tobruk: The Anti-Illegal Immigration Agency (AIM) announced today, Sunday, the deportation of 130 illegal Egyptian immigrants to their country. The deportation is part of a broader security initiative aimed at addressing the ongoing challenge of illegal immigration in the region.

According to Libyan News Agency, the AIM explained that among those deported, 87 immigrants were intercepted while attempting to cross the sea to Europe. Additionally, 6 individuals were referred by the Public Prosecution, and the remaining immigrants were apprehended during routine security operations.

The deportations were carried out from the city of Tobruk via the Amsaied land port. This action is a component of a dedicated security plan designed to mitigate the issue of illegal immigration and the presence of unauthorized immigrants in the area.
