Aguila Saleh and Hakan Fidan Discuss Unification and Political Developments in Libya

Benghazi: Speaker of the House of Representatives, Counselor Aguila Saleh, welcomed Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and his delegation to a meeting in Benghazi on Wednesday. The session was also attended by Youssef Al-Aqouri, Chairman of the House's Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Committee.

According to Libyan News Agency, the talks focused on strengthening bilateral relations between Libya and Turkey, aiming to serve the interests of both nations. Key topics included the latest political developments in Libya and strategies to resolve the Libyan crisis in alignment with the will of the Libyan people. Additional discussions touched upon various regional issues of mutual concern.

During the discussions, Aguila Saleh expressed his support for ongoing reconstruction and development projects in Libyan cities, facilitated by the Libya Development and Reconstruction Fund. He welcomed the involvement of Turkish companies in these initiatives, which are contributing to the development in eastern and southern Libya. The Speaker emphasized the importance of resolving the Libyan crisis by unifying state institutions and conducting presidential and parliamentary elections that truly represent the Libyan people's aspirations.
