AFC president pledged support to Syrian football Federation

Asian Football Confederation (AFC) President Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa concluded a visit in Syria where he held several meetings with high-ranking officials.

The AFC President acknowledged the challenges faced by Syria and further reinforced the AFC’s commitment to support the continued development of the game in the country.

During a meeting with Syrian Football Association (SFA) President Salah Eddin Ramadan, Shaikh Salman had reaffirmed the AFC’s dedication towards further strengthening ties with the West Asian nation.

The AFC President’s unwavering support was welcomed by President Salah Eddin Ramadan, who expressed his gratitude for the AFC’s various programmes available to benefit Syrian football and the SFA’s desire to build on the impact that has already been achieved.

He also met with the employees and cadres of the Syrian Football Federation where memorial shields were exchanged. Certificates of participation and excellence were also distributed to a number of employees who participated in the courses and workshops recently held by the AFC.
