Cairo: The Administrative Control Authority (ACA) recently engaged in discussions with the Hong Kong International Anti-Corruption Academy (HKIAAC) and the Hong Kong Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) to explore the development of institutional cooperation. The meeting, led by Ibrahim Abdelkarim, Advisor to the Head of the ACA for Foreign Affairs, took place during the ACA's participation in the Regional Program for Oversight and Anti-Corruption Bodies in Egypt.

According to Libyan News Agency, the discussions focused on preliminary arrangements for a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at establishing a strategic partnership. This partnership would enhance capacity building, facilitate the exchange of technical expertise, and strengthen performance monitoring mechanisms. Additionally, the collaboration would address integrity protection, combat corruption and cross-border money laundering, improve financial investigation skills, and utilize innovative technologies and artificial intelligence to support oversight functions.

The ACA highlighted that Abdelkarim emphasized the authority's commitment to expanding its international relations network and learning from advanced anti-corruption experiences. This initiative is intended to boost oversight performance and enhance the integrity system in Libya, aligning with international standards. The meeting is part of the ACA's strategy to build effective, sustainable international partnerships that support Libya's efforts to promote transparency, uphold good governance principles, and safeguard public funds.
