Tripoli: The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Government of National Unity, Taher Al-Baour, held a meeting at the Ministry headquarters with Dominic Goh, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Singapore to Libya. The Director of the Asia and Australia Department at the Ministry was also present.
According to Libyan News Agency, Al-Baour extended his congratulations to Ambassador Goh on his new role and wished him success in his diplomatic mission. The discussions during the meeting focused on ways to enhance bilateral relations between Libya and Singapore, with particular attention to economic, educational, and cultural sectors. The meeting also included an exchange of views on several issues of common interest.
Both parties stressed the importance of continued coordination and consultation, aiming to strengthen diplomatic ties that serve the mutual interests of the two nations. Ambassador Dominic Goh expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and the facilitation of procedures. He affirmed Singapore's commitment to developing stronger bilateral cooperation and relations with Libya in the future.
