Abdullah Al-Lafi Receives Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Congo.

Tripoli, Deputy President of the Presidency Council Abdallah Al Lafi received today Wednesday Minister of Foreign Affairs, Francophonie and Congolese Abroad, Jean-Claude Jakosso, and his accompanying delegation, in the presence of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Congo in Libya, Samba Guy Cornell, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Mbelo Embungu Gul, and a number of members of the African Union Commission.

The Vice-President of the Presidential Council praised the role of the Congo and the African Union Commission in the push for ending the Libyan crisis by peaceful means, and restore security and stability to the country.

Al-Lafi expressed his delight to meet this great African delegation in Tripoli, which signals the start of a new phase of stability and peace in Libya, towards the return of the confidence of the international community in Libya.

For his part, the Congolese Minister of Foreign Affairs conveyed the greetings of the President of the Republic, Deni Sassou Nguesso, Chairman of the High Level Committee on Libya, to the Presidency Council, praising his efforts to support stability in the country, and for what he has achieved since assuming power, from unifying institutions to initiating national reconciliation.

The Congolese minister stressed that Libya will overcome its crisis, expressing his confidence that national reconciliation is the way to stability in Libya.
