Tripoli: UN Special Representative to Libya, Hanna Tetteh, announced that the mission was informed about the appointments made by the head of the interim Government of National Accord, Abdulhamid Dbeibah. This cabinet reshuffle, initiated on March 3rd, involved the appointment of approximately 21 ministers and deputy ministers over a span of about two weeks, expanding the cabinet to 32 ministers.

According to Libyan News Agency, Tetteh, in her briefing to the UN Security Council, emphasized that all appointments must comply with the provisions of previous Libyan political agreements to contribute effectively to the unification of the country. She highlighted the necessity to address existing differences between parties and unify all state institutions. Tetteh also urged Libyan parties to implement legislative reforms as outlined in the recommendations of the Advisory Committee and structured dialogue, which concluded in June.
