The Ministry of Interior announced today, Saturday, the implementation of a security operation to search for wanted persons and impose the state's prestige in Kirkuk. The spokesman for the ministry, Brigadier General Muqdad Miri, said in a statement, "In continuation of the implementation of preemptive operations to enhance security and stability and pursue and eliminate the remaining remnants of the terrorist ISIS, a force from the units of the Ninth Brigade of the Third Division of the Federal Police carried out a search operation (Wadi Al-Sahl) in Kirkuk to search for wanted persons, establish security, and impose the state's prestige and law in those areas."
