A 4.7-magnitude earthquake strikes western Turkey

An earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale struck the Azine district of Çanakkale province in western Turkey on Monday afternoon. According to the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority / AFAD / the earthquake occurred at 17:39 local time and was at a depth of 10.23 kilometers below the surface of the earth.
