The Iraqi National Security Service arrested (35) accused of extortion in (6) provinces.
The Iraqi National Security Service stated in a statement: “our detachments, according to judicial arrest warrants, arrested (35) accused practiced various types of extortion against their victims and bargained with them for large sums of money in exchange for not publishing their private photos on social media.”
It added: “The arrests took place in (Anbar, Diyala, Babel, Karbala, Wasit, and Kirkuk) governorates and were based on complaints submitted by the victims, and they were dealt with according to the law.”
