/ 22/ suspects in various legal cases arrested and seizure of unlicensed weapons in Baghdad

The Federal Police forces arrested 22 suspects in various legal cases and seized unlicensed weapons in Baghdad. The Ministry of Interior stated in a statement: "The security effort of the Fifth Division units in the Federal Police, with the support of the intelligence effort, resulted in the arrest of (22) suspects according to various legal provisions that included (murder, theft, quarrel, possession of weapons, public funds, rape, and threats) in the areas of (Hayy Ur, Umm al-Kubr and al-Ghazlan, al-Shaab, Sadr City, al-Kufa neighborhood, al-Intisar, and al-Husayniyah), and within the regional search operations carried out by the division's detachments to search for unlicensed weapons." It added: "Extensive security operations were carried out in the areas of (Muscat, Al-Islah Village, Sadr City), which resulted in the seizure of (2 different types of rifles, 3 pistols, 5 ammunition magazines, 2 wireless communication devices, and other materials), and the accused were referred with the seized items to th e competent authorities."
