The United Nations expresses its concern over the Zionist raids on the southern suburb of Beirut

The Spokesman for the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Stephane Dujarric, expressed the organization’s concern over the Zionist raids on the southern suburb of the Lebanese capital, Beirut.

Dujarric said in press statements that the United Nations is following with great concern the raids on Beirut, and that “anyone who looks at the images of smoke rising from a densely populated area should be horrified,” renewing the call for an immediate calm and a cessation of hostilities.

The warplanes of the Zionist entity had earlier launched a series of violent raids targeting an area in the southern suburb of Beirut.

The Lebanese News Agency reported that thick clouds of smoke covered the sky of the area, and the sounds of huge explosions were heard in the capital, Beirut, and the suburbs.

It added that 6 buildings were leveled to the ground as a result of the series of raids on the southern suburb.

Lebanon is exposed to extensive Zionist attacks targeting various Lebanese governorates and regions, espec
ially villages and towns in southern Lebanon, which led to the martyrdom and injury of nearly three thousand people, while the residents of the targeted areas rushed in a large wave of displacement.
