The Turkish presidency confirms that the genocide committed by Israel in Gaza is one of the most horrific crimes witnessed in modern history

The Head of the Turkish Presidency’s Communications Department, Fahrettin Altun, described the genocide committed by Israel in the Gaza Strip over the course of a whole year as one of the most horrific crimes witnessed in modern history.

Altun said in a post on the X platform today, Monday: “For a year, Israel continues to commit genocide, shed blood, and disregard international law and human values in Gaza.”

He added that “this horrific brutality wounds the common human conscience,” describing the “brutality” of Israel’s killing of about 50,000 Palestinians as “one of the ugliest and most horrific things witnessed in modern history.” He stressed that “Israel will be held accountable for its atrocities sooner or later.”

Today, Monday, marks the first anniversary of the start of Israel’s war of genocide in Gaza, with American support, which has so far resulted in more than 139,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, and more than 10,000 missing, amid massive destruction and famine that has killed dozens of chi
ldren and the elderly.

He said that Israel continues its war of extermination, ignoring the UN Security Council resolution to end it immediately, and the International Court of Justice’s orders to take measures to prevent acts of ‘genocide’ and improve the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
