The Iraqi-Turkish Joint Planning Group discusses the framework agreement concluded following Erdogan’s visit to Iraq

The Iraqi-Turkish Joint Planning Group discussed the framework agreement concluded following the visit of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Iraq.

A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the Undersecretary of the Ministry for Bilateral Relations, Mohammed Hussein Bahr al-Ulum, and the Chairman of the Advisory Board, Abdul Karim al-Faisal, chaired a special meeting of the Iraqi-Turkish Joint Planning Group at the Ministry’s headquarters, in the presence of the Prime Minister’s Advisor for Water Affairs, Turhan al-Mufti, along with the Undersecretares and representatives of the ministries concerned with the group.

During the meeting, according to the statement, the framework agreement concluded following the visit of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Iraq was discussed, in addition to following up on the outcomes of this visit.

The meeting also discussed the formation of permanent joint committees to discuss the various topics and fields included in the strategic agreement.
