The Foreign Minister during his meeting with Aboul Gheit: Iraqi diplomatic efforts are underway to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza.

Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein confirmed today, Monday, that Iraqi diplomatic efforts are taking place at a high level, with the aim of delivering humanitarian aid to Gaza.

Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Al-Sahhaf said in a statement, “Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein met with the Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, and discussed with him the developments of the situation in Gaza and their expected repercussions.”

According to the statement, Hussein reiterated “the position of the Iraqi government regarding the current events in Palestine,” indicating that “Iraqi diplomatic efforts are being conducted at a high level, with the aim of delivering humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, and preventing any displacement that may affect the Palestinian people, because that will have dire repercussions.”
