Stephanie Williams reviews with city of Sabratha political situation in Libya and the need for elections to be held as soon as possible

Sabratha, 27 February, 2022 (Lana) – The Adviser to the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Libya for Libyan affairs, Stephanie Williams, visited the municipality of Sabratha on Sunday morning.

The Sabratha Municipal Council stated on its Facebook account that “Stephanie” was received by the Mayor of Sabratha Municipality and a member of the High Council of State for the city, the head of the wise men, notables, members of the municipal council and representatives of civil society organizations in the city.

The meeting held at the headquarters of the Municipal Council of the municipality of Sabratha, that included the city’s activities, in which the political situation that the country is going through was discussed and reviewed, and the need for elections to be held as soon as possible and to bring the country to safety.
