Russian Defense Ministry announces the killing of 235 Ukrainian soldiers on the Donetsk axis

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today, Tuesday, the killing of about 235 Ukrainian soldiers, and that it had repulsed three attacks by Ukrainian forces on the Donetsk axis over the past 24 hours.

In its daily report on the progress of the military operation, the Ministry said that the losses of the Ukrainian army on the Donetsk axis amounted to 235 soldiers, in addition to the destruction of five combat and armored vehicles, two cars, and other military equipment, adding that the strikes of the Air Force, operational and tactical aviation, artillery fire and operations of the defensive units of the Russian “South” grouping on the Donetsk axis resulted in repelling three attacks by the Ukrainian forces in the vicinity of the towns of Novomikhaylovka and Avdiivka.

It stated that a military plane destroyed a second Ukrainian military boat, of American manufacture, of the “Willard Sea-Force” model, with a landing group on board, east of “Zmini” island in the Black Sea.

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced, earlier today, that a Russian fighter belonging to the Black Sea Fleet destroyed a reconnaissance boat belonging to the Ukrainian army in the area of Russian gas production facilities in the Black Sea, after destroying five other boats in the Kherson region.

The number of attacks in the Black Sea by both sides has increased since Moscow left last month from an agreement allowing the export of stranded Ukrainian grain to global markets.
