Min. sends 8 messages on developing spining and weaving industry


Egyptian Minister of the Public Business Sector Eng. Mohamed Shimi revealed plans to develop the spinning and weaving industry.

In his discussion of the latest developments in the executive position of the national project to develop the spinning and weaving industry, the minister sent eight messages regarding the intended plan to boost the sector.

In the below lines, et lists the eight pillars of the plan as announced by the minister:

1- Intensifying efforts and compressing the scheduled timetables to speed up the completion of work and development projects.

2- Benefiting from the great interest the state pays to promoting the spinning and weaving industry and regaining leadership in this important sector.

3- The need to work hard to revive the old trademarks of the affiliated companies.

4- Relying on the local product in any supply operations for the supplies needed to equip new factories, especially for products that have a local alternative.

5- Paying attention to maintenance work in existing facto
ries and operating at maximum capacity.

6- Allowing the private sector to partner in any of the production stages.

7- Developing sales and marketing policies in light of the objectives of the modernization plan and doubling production capacities.

8- Improving the work environment, commitment to quality, continuous development, training workers, and raising awareness of the importance of the development project.

Eng. Mohamed Shimi also followed up on the progress of implementation rates, completion rates and timetables for development projects, new factories, power stations and service buildings in various companies, starting from cotton cultivation and trade, through manufacturing processes from ginning, spinning, weaving, dyeing and finishing, all the way to the final product, in addition to the position of the polyester fiber production project, the marketing plan for products and performance indicators, and the Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP) project.
