The Group of Seven expressed its deep concern about the situation in Lebanon.
It said in a statement: We support the efforts of the United States, Qatar and Egypt to reach a comprehensive deal in line with the Security Council resolution.
The Group of Seven added: We also reiterate unequivocally our commitment to Israel’s security and Iran’s destabilizing actions must stop.
It added: We encourage all parties to engage constructively to de-escalate current tensions.
It continued: We also reiterate our call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, the unconditional release of all hostages and increased aid.
The Group of Seven concluded: We also recall the need to stop hostilities as soon as possible to make way for a diplomatic solution along the Blue Line
