FM visits Kigali Genocide Memorial, its museum


Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty visited on Sunday the Kigali Genocide Memorial and its museum and laid a wreath on it.

On his X account, Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abu Zeid said Abdelatty expressed sympathy with the families of victims of the genocide which happened 30 years ago.

The Kigali Genocide Memorial is a place of remembrance and learning dedicated to the victims of the Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda. It offers a powerful experience for visitors, promoting reconciliation and building peace through education.

The Egyptian foreign minister arrived in the Rwandan capital on Sunday to take part in the inauguration ceremony of Rwandan President Paul Kagame upon the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
