Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin relations between the two countries and regional and international issues.
The Turkish Presidency’s Communications Department stated in a statement on Monday evening that Erdogan expressed his pleasure during the phone call with the development and consolidation of Turkish-Russian relations.
The Communications Department quoted Erdogan in its statement as confirming that the high-level political dialogue will continue, and regional and international issues will continue to be discussed in detail during the coming period.
The Turkish President also congratulated his Russian counterpart on his 72nd birthday during the phone call.
