Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani confirmed today, Sunday, that we are still facing operations of confusion, spreading fallacies, attempts to mix facts with lies, and accusing the government of ignoring some aspects of corruption.

Al-Sudani said in a speech: We have achieved security stability with the capabilities of our armed forces, with all their types and formations, in addition to improving Iraq’s foreign relations.

He added that we have also taken an important step by resolving the file of the international coalition to fight ISIS, and ending the work of the UNAMI mission, in the government’s belief in the capabilities of our security forces that defeated the remnants of ISIS.

Al-Sudani stressed that the government has made an effort in the international relations file, and succeeded in sparing Iraq the repercussions of the escalation in the region, without abandoning its positions supporting Palestine.

He added that we have also worked to support the constitutional tasks of the judiciary, in
order to complete the circles of stability and progress.

Al-Sudani stressed that the government believes in combating financial and administrative corruption, as a popular demand, and a moral and legal responsibility, through implementing the law, noting that we are still facing operations of confusion and spreading fallacies, and attempts to mix facts with lies, and accusing the government of ignoring some aspects of corruption.

He continued, as the government has initiated the broadest official and legal movement in recovering funds and surrounding the corrupt, and has given this file importance even in relations with other countries.

He added that the government is ahead of all constitutional authorities in confronting and holding accountable any exploitation of the job position that seeks to blackmail, or violate the law.

Al-Sudani called on the national political forces and constitutional authorities to assume comprehensive responsibility towards the major entitlements and stand united behind the gov
ernment to complete its service program.

He also called for rejecting attempts to obstruct that target everyone’s achievements, especially in light of the rapid challenges and developments witnessed by the region.

He added: Whoever is concerned about the success of the government, we affirm our commitment to meeting the demands of our people as a matter of utmost importance.

Al-Sudani stressed that the project of building and reviving Iraq is a project for all Iraqis, with all their spectra and national orientations.

He stressed the importance of resolving the entitlement to the presidency of the Council of Representatives, in order to advance to the Council to approve the ministerial amendment based on evaluating the performance of ministers, which aims to increase government effectiveness.

He stressed that we stand at the same distance from all political forces, and we praise the performance of the ministries during the past stage, and what they recorded in terms of achievements that represent the spir
it of the government program and its goals.
