Al-Mandlawi: Operation Flood of Al-Aqsa embodied the legitimate right of the Palestinian resistance to defend the rights of its people and their sanctities

Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, stressed: “The historic and heroic Al-Aqsa Flood operation embodied the spirit and will of the Palestinian people and resistance in confronting the occupation, and their legitimate right to defend the nation’s sanctities and thwart expansion and settlement projects.”

He said in a statement, on the occasion of the first anniversary of Al-Aqsa Flood operation: “The operation proved that the methods of killing, injustice, starvation, torture and desecration practiced by the Zionists since 1948 until today cannot deter the honorable and free people or reduce their determination to confront until justice is achieved and all legitimate rights are attained, most notably the uprooting of this malignant cancerous gland called “Israel”, and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with al-Quds as its capital.”

He added: “The resistance in the October 7 operation did not only cross into the occupied territories, but also toppled the wall
s of the Western regimes that had always boasted about defending human rights, and exposed the falsity of their claims when they removed the mask from their faces that thirsted for the blood and remains of children and women, and exposed the regimes that contributed to reviving the crumbling body of the bastard entity, and that provided it with weapons, money and aid convoys, while their positions were humiliating and shameful towards the besieged Gaza that refuses to live except with dignity and pride.” The Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives reiterated Iraq’s firm and principled position in supporting the Palestinian cause by all available means, stating: “A year of steadfastness and courage written by the heroes in Palestine and the support fronts was met by a year of crimes of genocide and destruction practiced by the Zionist forces in Palestine, Lebanon, Yemen and Syria, which reflected the state of defeat experienced by the Zionist entity and its supporters, warning at the same time of the ma
licious efforts of the leaders of the occupation by trying to drag the region into the furnace of a large-scale war whose effects will be devastating for all, the latest of which are the repeated attacks on the sovereignty of a number of neighboring countries, calling on the international community to take real and immediate action and position to end the aggression, hold the leaders of the entity accountable and restore respect for international laws and charters.”
