Al-Baour signs Libya’s accession to two front agreements to protect state property abroad.

Tripoli: The person in charge of running the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Government of National Unity, “Taher Al-Baour”, signed Libya’s accession to two international agreements in a step to fortify state property abroad and protect it from attacks.

This came at the conclusion of the Libyan delegation’s participation in the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

A post by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on its Facebook page explained that Al-Baour signed Libya’s accession to the United Nations Convention on the Immunity of States and Their Property from Jurisdiction, as well as joining the Convention on the Judicial Sale of Ships known as the Beijing Convention.

The ministry’s post added that this step is important to fortify state property abroad and protect it from attacks, based on consultations that took place between the relevant national institutions, whether judicial or political, in the country.
