Aboul Gheit welcomes the recent Libyan understandings that led to resolving the crisis of the Central Bank of Libya.

Tripoli: The Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, welcomed the recent Libyan understandings that led to resolving the crisis of the Central Bank of Libya and agreeing on a new leadership for the bank and forming a new board of directors.

“Jamal Rushdi”, the official spokesman for “Aboul Gheit”, expressed the Secretary-General’s aspiration that this agreement would contribute to restoring the confidence of international financial institutions, hoping for commitment to implementing it and effectively contributing to the return of Libyan oil production and export, to avoid negative repercussions on the economy and the Libyan citizen in general.

“Rushdi” stressed the Arab League’s satisfaction with such positive developments, stressing the League’s commitment to assuming its original responsibilities towards Libya in a way that preserves its unity and sovereignty and prevents foreign interference in its affairs.
