PM: President Sisi prioritizes, supports housing projects for slums residents

Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli Sunday asserted the importance of the development of residential areas and the relocation of slums residents to new residential units towards creating a decent life for the residents of such unsafe areas.

Madbouli made the remarks during a meeting to follow up the implementation rate of the alternative housing projects to relocate dwellers of unsafe areas nationwide, in the presence of Minister of Planning and Economic Development Hala Elsaid, Minister of Local Development Hisham Amna, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Assem El Gazzar, Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal alongside other officials.

He said that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, since day one, has adopted the housing projects and supported it, adding that the state is continuing its plans to renovate Historic Cairo as a capital for culture and tourism.
