Tripoli: The head of the National Unity Government, Abdel Hamid Al-Dabaiba, refuted what he described as rumors that talk about the deterioration of the state’s economic situation and its bankruptcy.

Al-Dabaiba stated in his speech that he delivered during his hosting of the breakfast table on Sunday evening, which was attended by the President of the High Council of State, Mohamed Takala, and a number of members of the House of Representatives and the High Council of State, members of the Constituent Assembly for Drafting the Constitution, and heads of political parties, in addition to a number of political figures. – In numbers and statistics, the value of the state’s public spending during the last three years, including the development section, through which a number of development projects were implemented in various parts of the country for the first time since the revolution.

According to the media office of the Prime Minister, ‘Dabaiba’ disclosed in his speech the revenues his government achieved in
hard currency, and what it accomplished in extinguishing the public debt that it received from the two previous governments, in addition to its work to strengthen the state’s foreign exchange needs, stressing the unacceptability according to these data, by imposing a tax on the exchange rate, because of its negative effects, the consequences of which are borne by the Libyan citizen.

The meeting, which was held in the Al-Nasr Forest hall complex, witnessed a number of speeches and interventions by the attendees, who stressed the necessity of ending the transitional stages and quickly crossing over to the permanent stable stage, through fair and transparent elections conducted in accordance with fair laws, stressing at the same time that the draft constitution be put to a referendum as an appropriate and satisfactory solution for everyone, according to the same source.

This meeting comes within a series of meetings that his government will hold during the month of Ramadan with a number of elites and actors in
society, to discuss various political files in order to reach a solution to them, according to what Al-Dabaiba said in his speech to the two meetings
