Tripoli, US Ambassador and Special Envoy to Libya Richard Norland has paid tribute to the National Oil Company, which he said ‘remains one of the great achievements of Libya, along with a commitment by the Oil Ministry to use these resources for the benefit of all Libyans.’
This came in a tweet Norland made, and was posted to the US Embassy SMS page on Friday.
In February, the US Embassy handed over to Mustafa Sun’Allah the Chairman of the Board of NOC the ‘Anti-corruption Champion’ medal announced by the US Secretary of State Antony Belinken, considering the NOC as a technocratic neutral institution which serves the interests of all Libyans.
