Tripoli (Lana) The United Nations and its international partners called for $ 189 million to fund the humanitarian response plan in Libya for the current year.
The Humanitarian Coordinator for Libya, Georgette Gagnon, said that the aim of this call is to provide necessary aid to 451,000 people from the most vulnerable groups affected by the conflict, the Corona pandemic and the deteriorating economic conditions. "Gagnon" confirmed that they seek to work with the Libyan authorities to implement this year's humanitarian response plan, to meet the multiple challenges that the country has gone through.
She indicated that the Corona pandemic had caused an increase in the deterioration of the weak health system, and exacerbated the socio-economic situation in Libya.
