Tunis, The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Public Affairs discussed with the Director of the Money Laundering Department at the Central Bank of Tunisia, finding appropriate solutions for Libyan funds seized and held for years in Tunisia.

According to a statement published by the ministry’s website, the meeting dealt with the issue of the seized Libyan funds, as well as discussing cooperation in the field of information exchange and overcoming some obstacles.

The Governor of the Tunisia Central Bank had announced the formation of a joint committee bringing together representatives of the customs office and the two central banks of Tunisia and Libya to solve the problems of money seized for ten years in his country, estimated at about “150 million dollars”.
