The situation stability in Libyan enhances the bilateral relations between Italy and France.

Rome, Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi said during a joint press conference today, Friday, with the French President Emmanuel Macron and held at Villa Madama in Rome, following the signing of the Quirinal Treaty, that, Italian-French relations have been further strengthened thanks to commitment to achieving stability in Libya, thanks to Paris hosting the international conference, this November, co-chaired by Italy and France with Germany, Libya and the United Nations.

Under the agreement of this treaty, the two countries recognize, with regard to illegal immigration: (the need for a common policy for managing flows and asylum at the European level, on the basis of the principles of responsibility and solidarity), according to the Italian news agency Nova.

The Italian Prime Minister clarified that his country is committed to “protecting common agricultural systems and recognizing their uniqueness, and we will launch new forms of cooperation in the fields of energy, technology, research and innovation, and we will also establish a mechanism whereby an Italian minister participates, at least once every three months, in the French Cabinet of Ministers”, or vice versa.
