Tripoli, The Public Prosecutor “Al-Siddiq Al-Sour” held a meeting with Minister of Justice Halima Ibrahim Abdel Rahman, during which issues of a common nature between the Attorney General’s office and the Ministry of Justice were discussed in order to find quick and urgent solutions to them.
The joint meeting discussed ways to enhance response to national and international standards related to human rights, including standards for reform and rehabilitation institutions and their inmates, and to assess the extent of commitment to conduct them in accordance with legislation.
. The meeting dealt with the problems of presenting inmates to the judicial authority, and the role of law enforcement authorities in this, especially the judicial police, and facilitating the task of judicial supervision.
The meeting also dealt with ways to increase the capabilities of judicial staff.
