Tripoli – Deputies of the Presidential Council, Musa Al-Koni and Abdullah Al-Lafi, received ,yesterday, UN Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of the UN Support Mission in Libya ”UNSMIL” Abdoulaye Bathily ,to brief on them the results of his meeting with a number of Libyan political parties at internal and abroad.
The meeting discussed the latest developments of the situation in Libya, and ways to push the political process to reach the elections to achieve the aspirations of the Libyan people and to agree on its results by all parties.
The communication office of the Presidential Council stated that the two deputies stressed the Council’s commitment to cooperate with Bathily in his mission, to achieve stability in Libya, end transitional stages through elections, and the success of the national reconciliation project which has reached advanced stages, in a reference to the Preparatory Forum which will be held next December.
Bathily renewed his call to all political parties in Libya to reach consensus required to achieve the constitutional basis and reach the elections.
