Algeria, – The Algerian Minister of Interior, “Kamel Beljoud,” received, on Sunday, the Minister of the Interior, “Khaled Mazen”, who is on a one-day working visit to Algeria, according to what the Algerian News Agency announced.

The agency stated that the two sides discussed, during the meeting, which was held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Interior in Algiers, the reopening of border crossings to facilitate the movement of goods and citizens, whether for Libyan or Algerian goods.

In a statement to the Algerian News Agency after the meeting, Interior Minister Khaled Mazen confirmed that the two parties agreed to enhance cooperation in the matter of the interior sector, announcing the formation of technical committees between the two ministries that will study several points, including training the police and taking into account the interests of the citizens of the two countries, whether in Algeria or Libya. .

For his part, the Algerian Minister of Interior said that the meeting provided an opportunity to talk about coordination between the two ministries in various fields, noting that “there is a congruence of visions regarding many files,” according to the agency.

The minister added that it was agreed to “open the Al-Dabdab border crossing, in addition to supporting coordination with regard to training in the field of police and civil protection,” noting “the continuation of joint work and coordination between the two ministries in the future in the service of the two peoples and the two countries that have a brotherly relationship and a common history.”
