The Governmental Expert Group on the Mechanism of the United Nations Convention Against Corruption holds its first meeting for the year 2022.

Tripoli, The first meeting of the governmental expert group on the mechanism of the United Nations Convention against Corruption was held at the headquarters of the National Anti-Corruption Authority yesterday, Wednesday.

The meeting was attended by the deputy head of the expert team and members of the team consisting of experts from the National Anti-Corruption Authority, experts from the sovereign oversight bodies and the relevant authorities represented in the Administrative Control Authority, the Audit Bureau, the Central Bank of Libya, the Ministry of Justice and the Civil Society Commission.

The meeting discussed a number of items, including discussing the results of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption held during the last period in Sharm El-Sheikh in the Arab Republic of Egypt. The responses received regarding the review of the countries of Morocco and Venezuela on the recovery of assets for the State of Libya were also presented.
