Tripoli, Government spokesman, “Mohamed Hammouda” confirmed that the national unity government continues to perform its work and provide its services to all citizens, calling for responsibility and avoiding everything that would cause crises and conflicts.

Hammouda announced in the press conference held after the government meeting yesterday, Thursday, that the Cabinet had taken a number of decisions aimed at providing services to the citizen, including the establishment of the Environmental Police Service under the Ministry of Environment, in addition to the establishment of an institute for forensic medicine affiliated with the Ministry of Justice.

According to Hammouda, the Council of Ministers decided to abolish the crime-fighting agency and to include its fixed and movable assets and the entire general force to the Criminal Investigation Service.

Regarding the school book allocations, Hammouda confirmed that it is still in the account of the ministry, not the minister, and that printing procedures will be completed in the near future.

With regard to the recently created Citizen Service Center, Hammouda clarified that the quarterly report included the total number of requests received by the center amounting to “72,714” requests, 71,314 requests were responded to by 98%, while 1,373 requests were not responded to, representing 2% of the total requests.
